How Long Does It Take to Design a Digital Menu?

Find out how long the digital menu design process takes from start to finish.

Getting your digital menu designed and live on your screens is faster than most restaurant owners expect. At Zenith Digital Menus, the typical timeline from initial consultation to live menus is 1 to 2 weeks, depending on the complexity of your menu and how quickly you provide feedback.

The Design Process Step by Step

  1. Consultation (Day 1): We start with a free consultation to understand your restaurant, brand, menu items, and goals. This can be done over the phone or in person if you're in the Sacramento area.
  2. Initial Design (Days 2–5): Our designers create your custom menu layout, incorporating your branding, colors, food photography (if available), pricing, and item descriptions. We optimize the layout for readability so customers can quickly find what they want.
  3. Revisions (Days 5–8): We send you a proof for review. You tell us what you'd like changed — rearrange items, adjust colors, swap photos — and we make revisions until you're 100% satisfied. We include revisions as part of the $750 per screen design fee.
  4. Installation & Go-Live (Days 8–14): Once you approve the final design, we schedule installation. Our team arrives, mounts your screens, installs the media players, loads your content, and ensures everything looks perfect. Hardware and installation is $500 per screen.
